Schedule

This schedule is not final, but significant changes are not expected.

Please note:

  • GUST's Annual General Meeting (Wednesday, April 30th);
  • the jubilee celebration dinner (Friday, May 2nd)
  • the meals, refreshment breaks and bonfire times migh slightly change…

Wednesday, April 30th

After the conference opening, a traditionally strong point of BachoTeX — fonts — will be taken on.

In Mateusz Kmiecik (aged 14!) we greet a new MetaPost follower. Mateusz bravely, perhaps pushed a bit by his father, responded to our call to the young generation. We wish you success!

Later in the evening — GUST's Annual General Meeting.

This a little lighter day is devoted to working meetings of the various interest groups. It starts with a TeX warm-up of several papers.

For beginners and perhaps for non-beginners who will not partake in the working meetings: a workshop by Grzegorz Murzynowski on writing classes and packages. There will also be tutorials on using OpenType fonts by Andrzej Odyniec and Marcin Woliński. Everyone is invited!

Friday, May 2nd

Friday is devoted to the main theme of the conference: “TeX contra TeX”. It will be an intensive day, with the introduction being prepared together by Paweł Jackowski, Mojca Miklavec and Arthur Reutenauer. They will also jointly chair the whole day.

“What in TeX makes me burst” — the paper by an angry youngster, Michał Kolany (part of the youngest generation time-distributed sub-mini conference of 2 papers), might give us something to ponder about…

A panel discussion will conclude the day (the list of panelists might change).

In the evening, the BachoTeX 16th jubilee celebration dinner.
