For MS Word users: the sample test-word-texgyredejavu_math.docx file (contained in the distribution's doc subfolder) has the TeX Gyre DejaVu Math font embedded in it, which means that although it displays the sample formulas as intended, for new documents with math formulas to be displayed with TeX Gyre DejaVu Math one has to install the font in the system.
