TeX Gyre Heros
The TeX Gyre Heros (download) family of sansserif fonts is based on the URW Nimbus Sans L family distributed with Ghostscript. The original font, Helvetica, was designed in 1957 by Max Miedinger in cooperation with Eduard Hoffman at the Haas type foundry. The constituent 8 faces (4 standard and 4 condensed) contain nearly 1250 glyphs each and are available in PostScript, TeX and Open Type formats. Please note that with the release of this family the QuasiSwiss fonts became obsolete.
Basic stuff: Type1s + OTFs + TFMs + LaTeX support + info (ver. 1.103; a TDS zip archive, primarily for TeXies)
8 OTF files: regular, italic, bold and bold italic and their condensed counterparts (ver. 1.103; a “flat” zip archive, primarily for non-TeXies)
