This four-day conference focuses on practical techniques for document production using LaTeX, TeX, ConTeXt, MetaPost, and friends. It includes one day of classes and tutorials, followed by three days of presentations.

Practical TeX 2004: Training and Techniques (San Francisco, California, from 19.07.2004 09:00 AM to 21.07.2004 04:00 PM)

This three-day conference includes user-oriented presentations and workshops on LaTeX, TeX, and AMS-LaTeX and their use in document production. Parallel tracks will be offered to accommodate a wide range of users, from beginning to advanced. Expert speakers and lecturers will present experiences and techniques useful to all. Conference attendees will enjoy an opening night reception and optional Chinatown banquet. Coffee and lunch will be served each day of the meeting. The primary goal of the meeting, the first since the official Italian TeX Users Group has been formed, is to share opinions among members of Italian and international [La]TeX community. The TeX Users Group (TUG) Annual Meeting and Conference for the year 2004 will take place in Xanthi, Greece. It will be the first time that the TUG Annual Meeting and Conference will coincide with the International Olympic Games. In fact, the Conference will be held between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3, 2004, immediately after the 2004 International Olympic Games (Athens, Greece, Aug. 11-29, 2004) and just before the 2004 International Paraolympic Games (Athens, Greece, Sept. 17-28, 2004). So come and join the TeX Community in the Olympics for the first time ever!

Naszej corocznej konferencji TeX-owej przyświeca hasło: TeX, XML - dwa bratanki. Głównym wątkiem tematycznym konferencji, jak sugeruje tytuł, będzie łączenie technologii opartych na XML-u i TeX-u. Nie oznacza to oczywiście, że inne tematy od lat obecne na konferencjach, takie jak projektowanie fontów czy historia typografii zostaną pominięte.
